CSULB's Special Dinner with Father Benjamin

After The Bob Cole Conservatory Choir's return from Vienna to Goettweig on June 4th, Father Benjamin had arranged a special dinner for the group at one of the wineries in the surrounding village. Here, the group enjoyed traditional Austrian dishes, as well as locally made wine.

As a thank you, the group sang Father Benjamin's favorite song from their repertoire, Bright Morning Star, where he had to wipe away a tear from his eye during their performance. Dr. Jonathan Talberg and our tour manager Barbara also presented Father Benjamin with chocolates that they purchased inVienna.

After hearing the choir's performance, there was a table that requested that they sing Happy Birthday to their grandmother, who was 94 years old! She said her secret to a long life was drinking lots and lots of wine!

Dinner at Staroslovenska Krcma in Old-Town Bratislava

The CSULB group had a free night tonight to enjoy old-town Bratislava, and to choose a restaurant of their choice for dinner. A few members of the group, including Dr. Jonathan Talberg, decided to try this eccentric-styled little restaurant they found called Staroslevnska Krcma.
The menu consisted of many choices, most of which were local dishes, and everyone seemed to enjoy the atmosphere, as well as the company.

Early night, as jet-lag was starting to set-in, and everyone has an early morning tomorrow to head to Goettweig and to perform another concert on their 2010 Tour with Incantato!
Bratislavian Lunch with Dr. Talberg
I was lucky enough to get to know CSULB's director, Dr. Talberg, a little more over lunch after we concluded our tour of Bratislava. Our local tour guide pointed out this lovely, rustic restaurant, situated right in the middle of old town Bratislava called Perugia. It was moderately priced, and had a great menu with many local items to choose from (and it was very vegetarian friendly!).
I recommend the spinach gnocchi!
